Oil Leak

Hello All I have a small problem I HOPE...here it is I would drive and stop let the car sit smell oil burning maybe 15 min later see an oil spot under the car so the most logical thing i cam up with is the drain plug loose. Nope tighten it still oil spot. Then the next thing was oil pan is leaking. so I dropped the oil pan got the new gasket epoxy ran the car still leaking, the leak looks like its coming from in between the engine and tranny could this be an O ring that is leaking? if so has anyone replaced it before any step or cost would be appreciated.

Possibly a rear main but would verify it isn't a valve cover gasket first.

Rear main. Removal of the trans itself is easy. But its a HEAVY son of a Biotch. half shafts need to be removed, front sub frame member needs to be removed, remove lower inspection cover rotate crank as to remove the bolts that hold the flex plate to tq converter then with floor jack supporting trans (helps to have a trans jack) remove the bolts that hold the trans to the motor (and any and all wiring to trans) and drop out the bottom.

Oh is that all? Sounds easier than it is! As usual.
