Recently installed XS headers, threw a CEL imediatley after the install and have had a couple questions as to what the problem could be.

At first I thought it could be an exhaust leak somewhere along the way but the noise didn't sound like a exhaust leak more like a vacuum leak. Then today I had the code read and it said something was up with my first O2 sensor.

So what do you guys think the problem would be to throw an O2 code?

 

Did you damage the o2 sensor.
Was the exhaust totally cooled before removing the o2?

 

I don't think I damaged it but I won't go as far as saying no I didn't

And ya other than the heat of the weather everything was cool

 

Clear the code and see if it comes back.

 

It came back almost instantly

 

Its possible it went bad.

Dont use a Bosche sensor.

 

which sensor should I be using?

 

Did you damage the wiring or anything?

 

I don't think so, but either way I have another one in the mail.
