NEW 2 FORUM/Acura TIPS? ADVICE?

I just recently bought my first non American car. I purchased a Black 2001 Acura CL type S with 109k/clean carfax. I LOVE it! questions for all the cl nerds 0: ).

1. My transmission seems fine but perhaps isnt as smooth when accelerating at MED rate. Not too worried at this point but perhaps some advice of what to look for or parts that should be replaced with age.

2. Best/cheapest way to touch up the body. Ive seen some scratch rpair kits. Do those work well?

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING HELPS!

Welcome to Acurazine! I have the same exact car with a few more miles, even the same color.
First thing about the transmission is that I would start off with doing a 3x3 which is essentially a transmission fluid change with takes 3 quarts of ATF and to do that 3 times. This will get most of the fluid out without the harmful effects of a transmission flush. Also make sure that the car has had it's 105k major service done. Then you can start on the body work.

Would you do this same procedure with a manual transmission? Thx.
