Hello,

Has anyone had this problem with their Nav system? Sometimes I start the car and the screen doesn't render properly, it just shows a bunch of lines (examples below). But I know the interface itself under the display is working properly, because I can still touch the screen and successfully hit the buttons where I remember they are usually displayed.

This doesn't happen every single time I start the car, but it's gotten pretty often recently - maybe half the time. Sometimes if I stop and restart the car, it'll start displaying properly (on first, second, third, etc. try).

Has anyone run into a similar problem? If so, is there anything I can possibly do besides paying to have Acura replace the whole thing?

Looks like a loose connection somewhere. Shouldn't the navi be under warranty?

 

It's an '01, so the original warranty ran out. I do have extended warranty from a diff. company, but doubt the navi is covered. I'll have to check though.
