My CL won't light up...

I just bought an 01 CL type s and the trunk button won't work, the dash lights for the stereo and climate control, the center console gear lights, the manual shift light, and the stereo light won't illuminate, I looked under the hood and the previous owner put aftermarket lights on it, only used 1 of the ballasts for both lights and they cut one if there stock light sockets, I'm wondering if that is the issue or something else? Anybody have any insight on this issue? Thanks Ryan...

Guess I should clarify that I've checked all the fuses, in all the boxes... they aren't blown, I don't have a voltage meter or I'd use that to make 100% sure... also when I push the trunk button I hear a pop come from behind the glove box, I'm thinking that's where a relay is located? Plz someone let me know what's up... thanks...

There really isn't much any of us can suggest; given the mods from the previous owner, it sounds like you are going to need to buy a volt meter and then start doing some debugging.

Grr well it sounds like I have the same issue as alot of u do with the odometer light going dim, so guess I'll swap out that circuit board, and replace the stock headlights, and see I'd that changes anything and go from there, or just try my luck with a used replacement dash... thanks for the reply tho...

It seems that it was the multiplex on the passenger side that went bad, it fixed all the lights and the trunk actuator, but the lights on the dash for the odometer and the manual/automatic shift indicator light are still dead, so I'm gonna have to troubleshoot that and post my results on here...
