Interior Lighting in 98 CL

I have an odd question. Is a 1998 Acura CL supposed to have lights on the base of the shifter (automatic transmission)? In otherwords should P, D4, D3, P and N be illuminated when the lights are on? I only have lights on my instrument panel. Thanks for your assistance.

James

yes the letters on the tranny should light up, sometimes the lights get loose, i used to have a legend and all i had to do was beat on the panel and they would light back up

The lights in my 98 arent on either. It was the first thing I noticed whan I got my car and thought it was weird that I had to look at my dash to see what gear I was in. I don't believe there is a light in there, but could be wrong. I hope I am, and it's fixable.
