idiling problem
I recently put a j32a2 into my 92 civic and finally got her started the engine runs great for about 3 minutes and then the idiling picks up and drops and so on is there any body that can give me some advise on this .
Bleed the cooling system. You probably have some air caught in the IACV causing the readings to be off.
You may need to adjust the IACV sensor too. Since this is a swap, youre not running the power steering or air conditioning, so its preconfigured to control idle with those loads on the engine. Dremel some slots into those screws, loosen it and twist the sensor a bit to adjust.
Are you throwing any codes?

u say 3 minutes and then u get issues. That's when the car gets to temp and starts running in "closed loop" I think it is, which is when the car knows it's warm and then starts using all the sensors to determine a/f ratios and idle and so on.
So ur idle is probably at like 1000ish and then when she's warm it starts acting up? Insead of dropping, it becomes sparatic?
I had this issue and was the Idle air control valve.
