Car starting problems!!!! Help!!!!

hey guys for some reason my car has been having issues starting up... my acura 2001 CL parks outside in the heat and i dont know if that could be causing a problem... but like when i go to the gas station to fill up turn off the car and come back to start it up it wont until after a few tries. but today i woke up and it was already hot outside i went and tried to crank it .. it wouldnt. could it be a main relay like the hondas?

Do you mean the engine cranks but doesn't start or nothing happens when you twist the key?

i think he means it turns over but it's not starting until he tries a few times.

For the record, this happened to me on my ford probe and it was due to the fuel in the lines as it expands due to heat it creates fumes instead of liquid gas which choked my injectors until u keep trying and all the fumes are gone and the line is pressurized correctly and then she starts.

I forgot what I used to fix the issue though. some sort of priming solenoid was screwed up on the fuel line.

But it seem like that may be it. Cause u say it's heat related, and heat turns gasoline into fumes.

Called "vapor lock". Could well be the cause of his dificulties.

Starter maybe, starter relay, fuel pump relay, it's something not too complex I'm sure. I've never heard of vapor lock issues on a CL. Need more info & details on problem.

thanks for all the replies guys... but yea wat usually happens is when i turn off the car only for alittle bit like to get gas then start the car up again it starts but then after a second or two the car suddenly dies and wont let me start up again unless i crank it and push on the gas pedal a bit to get the idle high enough so the car wont drop idle

Like Fuzzy I have not heard of vapor lock problems with a CL, but with the swill being sold as gas these days it's possible.

You might try changing gas brands for a couple of tanks and see if that changes things.

Shell V power.... only thing that goes in any car I had

my dad works for them so I know which company is better and they've got the best fuel by far.

Sunoco's 94 octane doesn't do shyt... octane isn't even that good for ur motor it creates hot spots on ur pistons. that's why shell's v power only has 91 (if i am not mistaken)

Please explain how "octane" will cause hot spots on your pistons....

Happened to me about two weeks ago when i got off the train...started...idled really hard...died, then wouldnt start for a few tries. Got it going after about 3 tries so i really didnt think anything of it.

Today, as soon as i got to my car it cranked and really wanted to turn over, but just wouldnt do it. It kinda started a few times and just rough idled for a second or so and then died. i probably tried it 25 times and then all of a sudden it started and went strong. Ran smooth all the way home. Not sure, but it seems like maybe the fuel pump?
