HID replacement bulb

Hi all, been looking around the forums for a while now but just got around to registering. Anywho, I have a 2003 Acura Cl type-s. I was looking to get 6000k HID bulbs but wasn't sure if it would work with the stock HID ballast and what not. I've been doing little things to the car when I have time to fix it up, since I just bought it in January. Replaced a few bulbs in the dash, getting a clockspring shortly to replace it, little things. I would just like to know if the 6000k would be too hot for the stock housing/ballast. Thanks!

also youre confusing color temperature with heat output

I thought the color and temperature were directly related. First time using hids. So I can have any color in them?

yes, there's plenty of threads on this, but you start losing light output after 4300k fyi

Okay cool. And what do you mean losing light output? As in you can't see as far?

Yea thats what I meant. Yesterday i did a headlight restore and it worked great so im not going to get new bulbs. however, i do want to get switchbacks but have heard many mixed signals about them.
