my windshield wipers recently stopped working during a rain storm so i brought it down to my garage and my techs and i checked the fuses..not blown..then banged on the wiper relay under the hood with a driver and they started up again.. then two days ago they stopped working again so i ordered the wiper relay from acura and put it in..didnt fix squat..

so heres my conclusions.. the motor is fine because they stopped working once and continued to work again after (and also cuz its pretty rare for a wiper motor to blow in a honda/acura), the fuses arent blown so thats not it, the relay was replaced and that didnt do the trick.. so my next step is to order the wiper switch that comes off the steering column and that comes in tomorrow from the dealership, hopefully that works..

otherwise we will start checking the electricals between the switch, relay, and motor to diagnose where in the order of systems the signal is being lost..

any suggestions guys?

 

Yes, this is and old thread but, someone has to give some sort of input.
I wonder if it does have to do with the wiper control lever.

I never had a problem with my wipers before but just the other day, they just stopped working. What do I look for when I check the fuse box?

 

Yea, very old thread. Id check the voltage on the wiper motor connection first. Then the output on the switch.
