Has anyone broken a timing belt on a 2001 CLS?
My car is due for the timing belt change... I had a 1984 Nissan 300zx and broke the timing belt = NO MORE engine 
... is the CL engine an "interference" type like my Nissan was...? Thanks ya'll!!! Rick

Yes the TL is a interference type motor. As for it braking i would worry too much if your around the service time, just make it a point to remember to have it done.
