i have an 01 CL and when i hit the gas pedal its hard, i can't hit it lightly. its like i have to push hard down to get it and it does it all the time. its not when it first comes on or anything. when i ever i hit i have to hit hard. need help asap

 

See p.11-197 of Helm's manual for 'throttle body test.'

 

you need to check the throttle body, throttle cable and gas pedal. all should move freely. open and close the throttle body by hand, the spring should snap it shut quickly. the throttle cable should move freely. disconnect the cable from the gas pedal, does the pedal move freely by itself.
