engine turns over but won't start when it is hot OUTSIDE
Starts and runs great when the outside temp is below about 90, but when it gets hot out, the engine just cranks and won't fire. I did have success once by loosening the gas cap, but that hasn't worked lately. Seems like the problem is getting worse, like last year it had this problem when it was around 100. Anyone experienced this? I appreciate any thoughts/comments.
thanks in advance.

Common problem on Hondas. Very easy fix. It is the main relay.

It could be the main relay but not always. The main relay is the easiest and cheapest to start with. After that and it still has the same problem let us know. I can help go through other fixes.

Very well known issue with quality of main relay contacts. I donot know why it is not covered under a recall with such a high failure rate reported.
Issue seems to have been fixed from 2003 cars

Jesus, the main relay not working in hot (and sunny w/windows rolled up) weather is a problem that goes back to the DA/EF era. Used to have to remove mine and bring it in to my work locker on hot days. Hopefully they eventually solved this aggravating and common issue.

Main Relay
Replaced main relay with part from Advance Auto Parts. Got tired of car stalling, so I got it and replaced it in the parking lot. So far, so good. I think it was a BWD part # R4819. One suggestion, if you remove the bolt holding the bracket to get to it, you will have to take the plug out of the stoplight switch to make it somewhat easier to replace. Hopefully I wont have to do that again anytime soon.
