Engine light + VSA light

So my engine light (not 'check engine' but just the picture of the engine) and my VSA light turned on today while I was driving home. I felt no difference in driving though. My 03 CL-S is at 69,000 miles...and I think my tranny is about to go

Any ideas as to what else this may possibly be?

does vsa still work? if not maybe it's the vsa itself.... well, hopefully. it's part of the engine technically so that engine symbol light may come on in many cases along with another light.

I'd try and find a way to get the codes and then see what's up.

TCS light popping in and out as well? The two "dying" trannies I've seen on these cars, that TCS light fading in and out while it hunted for the gear was the death rattle.

Alright I went to AutoZone and had them check the code,I forget the exact code but it pulled up 3 things:

1) Low Transmission Fluid
2) Poor electrical connections
3) Failed TCC solenoid

I checked the tranny fluid...it wasn't low. So...looks like I'll be making an appointment with the dealership to have it checked out. I still feel absolutely nothing different driving-wise. Also, the VSA and VSA ! lights are no longer on, just the engine light.

Took it to the dealership this morning, they said the transmission needs to be replaced, along with the front motor mounts. So for the next few days, looks like I'll be rollin' in an 09 TL.

Hopefully, the new transmission doesn't crap out too...and if it does...hopefully it's before my warranty is up!

I have no idea, I'll find out whenever I get my CL back. I always assumed it would just be until the end of whatever warranty you have.

I believe that the tranny itself comes with a warranty

less pwr??? cause of the 09 tl maybe??? lol

there's no way u'd have less pwr with a brand new tranny. I find that extremely unlikely.

U said it shifts smoother so maybeeee you're smoothness is making u feel like it's slower cause everythings so damn smooth
