E brake light stuck ON!! when ebrake is disengaged

so I did my break the other day and had to adjust the e brake so i made it as small as possible for the new rims and it worked fine. Then aas of yesterday the e brake light will not turn off when i take off the ebrake. It's completely disengaged and still the light is ON!!!

WTF.

It went away yesterday temperarily when i got in the car after I had left off the ebrake for 2 hrs. But as of this morning it stays on no matter what.

Anyone had this problem before?

i had that issue and found that it was happening when I started it up and it was cold out because after 5-10 miles of driving, it went away.... But ^ he could be right too...cause I had my fluids topped off and checked at the dealer and since then, no e-brake issue...i'd try adding a little brake fluid...couldn't hurt.

Yeah mine would come on in the winter when it was really cold then go away when the car warms up. The fluid level sensor is pretty sensitive as the level was still good. It seems to like it full to the top of the line to keep the light off.
