Cruise Control Not working What's the fix?
I have a 2003 CL-S and the Cruise control just stopped working. The light comes on but does not hold the speed. I removed the engine cover too look at the TB and it looks/feels like there is a plastic piece that holds on the Cruise Control Wire. It appears to have broken off. Short of buying a new TB which seems insane, has anyone rigged up an effective fix?
Thanks in advance.

I had a similar issue with cruise turning itself off. Turned out to be an intermittent clutch switch on the pedal. When I hit bumps it jiggled it enough to break the circuit as if I'd pressed the clutch.
I know it won't solve you problem but might help others searching for CC issues.

No, it's the cruise control link cable where it connects to the throttle, it sits in a plastic cam to hold it in place but the plastic has worn. I could try to glue it in place. I don't want to have to replace the entire throttle body for a cheap piece of plastic.

You can try to fix the plastic cam with epoxy or something if you have all the pieces.
The part number for the throttle body on the Auto CL-S and the Manual CL-S are the same; therefore, if you elect to give the fix a try and it fails you might be able to find a used replacement TB, relatively cheap compared to new $374.42
, from a local salvage yard in your area via car-part.com. Search for the automatic first because they made more of them, otherwise
