CL Side Mirror

Dont have the posts and cant make new threads, so....mods, deal with this accordingly, please.

Im curious to see if I can fit a 2G CL(or TL) side mirror onmy 6G Accord. I imagine there are difference between the CL and TL, and since my Accord is a coupe, Ill shoot for the Acura coupe.

Unless it's been tried, Id just like dimensions of the outer sail. Maybe even inner dimensions as well.

Were they heated and power folding or no? I know some, if not all, of the TL-S had that reverse mirror thing and Ive heard that wont work in any other car unless you have the ECU stuff to go with it. Im not worried about that, but I am worried about that lack of operation effecting the other operations of the mirror.

Thanks.

My CLS6 is power, anti fog, auto dim? And it tilts downward when engaged in reverse...I'll try to snap some pics since I'm getting my passenger spare one repainted

03 CLs and 02/03 TLs had tinted side mirrors but all 2G CL/TL side mirrors are heated. But why would you want our mirrors on your car? I'm sure the accord mirrors can be found for cheaper.
I don't even use the heated feature or the auto tilt in reverse and my 01's mirrors aren't tinted.

Spyder could you measure the outer and inner sail while you're at it?

azn, the USDM 6G Accords didnt come with heated mirrors. If the sails wont fit, I might try seperating the head from the arm itself and see if they're interchangeable that way.

So you want the mirrors just because they are heated? I don't even know what heated mirrors do, I thought they were for snow for something.

They are, lol. And it snows here quite often. And pretty much every time I have to scrape my car off, I have to scrape my mirrors off, too. It'd be one less thing I'd have to do and plus, it's just a cool feature that I like.

I know you Cali guys are like, "Snow? What's that?" :p

Tahoe isn't that far from most of us Cali guys.

I never knew the 03's had tinted side mirrors. Mine don't look like they are, I should double check.

Lol. I just meant on a regular basis. Once Thanksgiving comes around, it's pretty much cold, crappy weather until March or April. :/

Im wondering if the 03 CL mirror is any difference, shape-wise, than the 0102s, cuz I wouldnt mind tinted glass, too.

It should be the same shape, only it wasn't body color.

That's why I want sail measurements. Just in case. You'd think they'd be the same but Honda can be funny like that. Worse case scenario, if I cant find any in Canada, I'll see about using a CL/TL head and my Accord arm.

They have a slight blue tint to them.

Actually, the mirror is smaller. There were complaints about how they restricted views and wind noise so they changed the size.

01-02 mirrors can be easily identified by the black base and black strip along the body. 03 mirrors are painted body color.

I wonder if the base/sail changed any or was it just the head of the mirror?

The base mounting holes did not change as the 01-02 and 03 mirrors are interchangeable.
