means you're due for oil, that's it. Reset it or ignore it.

Is is check engine or maintenance required? For the mainenance, you hold the two buttons to the right of your gauges and turn the key to the on position, keep holding for like 10 seconds and it resets.

maintenance required light can be turned off, by holding down the select and reset buttons before starting the car, as you are holding them down, start the car and continue to hold them until the light goes off...

it flashes between 6001 and 7499 miles. it will stay on solid after 7500 since the last reset. its a reminder to change the oil. the flashing part of the interval is just like a reminder to make an appointment with the dealer soon or something.

thats cause you'll have to manually reset the light yourself. its only mileage based, not a oil life monitor like on the newer acuras

Exactly...Just reset it because who ever changed your oil last time never did...

It's in the owner's manual and under the FAQ's.

I always change my own oil now and never reset it. So right when u start the car the maint required light is not even suppose to flash a few times and stay off?

Well it does it in intervals.

At first it does that (flashes a few times, turns off) as a friendly reminder and then if more time lapses...

It will flash more and then just stay on until it's reset...basically as a constant reminder to change your oil.

IMO stoned, put the weed down, hold the two buttons and start your car, then you wont have to ask the same question 5 or more times.
