Check engine light/VSA lights
Check engine light/VSA lights
So started my car up earlier, started just fine. Drove about 1/4 mile and I noticed the check engine light, the VSA light below it, and the big yellow triangle were all lit up. Car drove fine and wasn't acting weird I just have no idea as to why the VSA stuff was lighting up. One thing I did notice was when I got back home, the rpms dropped a little right when I parked, maybe to 450-500ish then right back up to normal idle, roughly 650 probably. The car was still in drive when it did this though. Any ideas? Oh and I'm going to scan the check engine code after lunch if it's still on to see where that takes me.
So I scanned it and got codes P1491 EGR Valve Lift Sensor; Insufficient Flow and P1739 TCM A/T Controller Circuit. Not too worried about the EGR valve, that's pretty straighforward, but the TCM thing worries me. Anybody run into that before?
If it drives fine, it might be okay for now. I know those 3 lights come on for me once in a while and the car drives fine except that it idles low and sometimes stalls.
Usually the lights will go off that day except the CEL and that goes away in a few days and the car idles good again.
