CD Player/Vibration = Frustration
Acuranistars, I need your help! I have an '01 CL. I've been having all kinds of problems recently.
CD PLAYER - Firstly, last week I had my battery changed since it didn't seem to hold a charge, so of course, I had to enter my radio code to get the radio working. It worked but about 2 days later, the radio cut off while driving and requested the code again, I entered it, it worked, played some CDs, that worked, and then it cut off again. I turned it on after about an hour - Radio works but CD Player does NOT!!!!! It would not even show that I have CDs in the CD Player! I press CD or TAPE, and it doesn't switch over. Pls HELP!!!!
VIBRATION - Ever since I got the car (about 2 yrs ago), I had vibration problems when I hit the brakes. Took it to Acura about 4 times for that problem, each time, they resurfaced the rotors till it stopped vibrating. A couple of months ago, I got my brakes changed, and I've been having the same problem. It's worse this time, even at a speed of 45mph, the car vibrates (steering wheel and all) when I hit the brakes. Feels like I'm driving on a road that's not tarred. I've taken it to 3 mechanics and everyone says my rotors have meat on them, pads are fine..everything is fine. It's scary, cos I have to literally hold on tight to my wheel so as not to lose control when it starts vibrating, needless to say I HARDLY ever drive below 60mph :-(

Sorry to say my friend, but LAY OFF THE BRAKES!
your heating up those brakes too fast. You will need your rotors resurfaced again if they are within service limits. Stop driving like a madman and you wont have this problem.

The brakes are warping because Acura doesn't know how to design a caliper that has even contact and because Acura technicians don't seem to be very bright based on my experience, both in the dealers, and on this board.
