great fathers day ;(

I went to my car today and it won't start, The battery is new and everything electrical in the car works ok on battery power.

Recently changed the starter,

When i turn on the car, i hear nothing from the starter, no turning over or anything.

However, what i did notice was.. the wire coming from my negative battery terminal branches out, one side grounds to the rad support right above driver side headlight, the other bellow somewhere. The one bellow is OFF and is resting on the cradle. Is it that causing the starter not to engage?
