Headers. That should be your number one modification.

List by importance:
-Headers http://www.ct-engineering.com/store/220042cl.html
-UR crank pulley http://unorthodoxracing.com/Itemdeta...rtID=020611002
-CAI (cold air intake) http://www.ct-engineering.com/store/330142cl.html
-catback exhuast not so much for power but for sound (just do an exhaust search)
-After all is said and done tune the car using a AFC (Air Fuel Controller like an Apex'i unit)

Dont forget about suspension though
-Some decent fully threaded coilovers
-Front and rear sway bars (My set up is front Whiteline bar/rear Comptech bar)
-decent lightweigh wheels/tires for better handling and grip.

Some other cheap stuff to make the car feel better
-GM Friction modified Synchromesh manual tranny fluid (~$25 for 2.5 quarts so get 3)
-Corsport aluminum shifter bushings ($30)
-clutch return fluid delay valve delete (search the forum and look for it)

xs power headers are $120 shipped. Search for ss autochrome. The headers for a 3.0 Accord work.

Perhaps, but I would just get the headers and j-pipe as a system and the XS headers probably would be a good idea for you since as a HS your probably willing to work on your car and make up for its possible slight imperfect fit and save a bunch of money in the mean time but the Comptechs are CARB approved not sure if that means anything to you in your state. But you can get used ones for $500-$650, thats what I did

This one seems interesting:

Fixed. My Comptech header investment has paid itself back many times over. And then when I'm ready to buy a new car, I can still sell them for a nice chunk of change.

lol don't put words in my mouth........the ONLY reason you pay $1200 for headers is because comptech and the other company can get away with it due to lack of competition...........but hey it's ur dough.................

not necessarily saying that the comptech headers are 'totally worth' their price tag of $1,200, but the general price of $600+ in the blackmarket is definitely worth it compared to any other brand that fits our j32's.

i don't think i have EVER heard of any problems with comptech headers in my time on these boards.

The reason Comptech charges $1200 is because they spent all the money flow testing and designing the headers. All the other companies did was copy the design. oh and use cheap, unskilled chinese labor to produce an inferior product.

But the main reason I bought mine was because in 2000 they were the only game in town. Yes I've had mine almost 8 years and have never had a problem.

You can get some from AEM, or at least you could at some point, the previous owner of my car had them on my CL.

Please look at the FAQ. All this is covered in there.

There's nothing wrong with the XS headers if your on a budget. I was the 2nd member to get them & have been on my car almost 2 years with out a problem.
The AEM pulleys are junk. Nothing but engine dress up. The power gain is from a light crank pulley. AEM doesn't have that.
You can get the UR crank pulley, but again there are much cheaper alternatives in the form of option racing. Ebay has them or Google their website.
Mine has been on almost a year now again no problems.

Judging by his screen name, Im going to say he doesn't have an auto, so those won't work.

I believe they do fit. The headers certainly will if not the down pipe.

does anyone have plenums on their car? I wonder what the actual gains are considering the dynos showed gains w/ h/i/plenums/spacer. I remember p2r saying they gained 6 hp by just hooking them up.

I have them. I thought I saw a again, but a after dyno a week later showed zero gain. I really don't know. Maybe some sort of tune needs to be done to see it.

I don't know about now, but at some point AEM had crank pulleys, my car has a full set on it, including crank.

Just get the real deal, UR crank pulley and ditch the AERM pulleys i've heard plenty of problems with those in regards to underdriving too much and just in general.

Also get an IM spacer from either powerrevracing.com or outlaw engineering, it'll keep the intake manifold from heatsoaking too much and screwing up the intake air temp readings.

Get XS headers or anything that has larger exhaust runners and collector. The more I think about it the more I feel that Comptech didnt really do much with their unit, it uses stock crush gaskets so you know the runner opening is 2.0" and the collector opening only 2.25" While some on ebay are 2.25" to 2.5" which I think is better especially after Richie_V6 did his j-pipe group buy with the 7th gen Accords.
