Assist in installing VAFC in a CL 6MT

Hey guys, I just picked up a VAFC (Not VAFC 2) off Craigslist pretty cheap and I will be installing it probably in a week or so. Please provide me with any information or opinion like if its worth to installing this unit or not also what would be the best way to install it, if I can get a plug n' play harness rather than splicing into my factory harness.

A bit cheaper way out I was thinking about doing this but don't know if it will actually work or not.

Grabing a OBD2B to OBD2A Jumper Harness (since they are cheap).
Rewiring it to be OBD2B to OBD2B.
Splicing into the rewired jumper harness.
Plugging one end into ecu and other other end into factory harness.

What do you guys suggest? Will it work or are the factory harness/ecu plugs on our cars different?

Thanks
