ecu upgrade?

i have a 2003 cl non type s, i was wondering if i get the ecu from the type s if it will work?

The type s has a higher redline and some people said if you run it in a non type s to that high of an rpm it will mess up or destroy your engine.

would you not need a matching key/ignition to go with the newer type S ecu cuz of the immobilizer?
