I guess I'm about to purchase a used AEM EMS series 2 unit for my J35A3/type s cams/6-speed tranny 2003 Acura CL-S. I've read that it only works on the auto tranny. Is this true? Should I purchase it if there's a way to make it work?

 

It only works with the manual tranny. It only works with an auto wiring harness though.

 

I contacted boomslang and they make a harness adapter for the manual wiring harness that works with the AEM EMS SERIES 2. Has anyone had success with this before?

 

Yes, you will have to open the EMS and switch it from mag to hall sensors.

 

Thank you Karanx7! I'm going to call Kings Motorsports in Orlando since I'm only about 2 hrs away from them and see if they can schedule me in. I just need a few more little mods before dropping it off.

 

Well if King's is only 2 hours away, it would be stupid to do anything else. They have done several of these builds, and I've only heard good things.
