When I put the shifter in neutral, It doesen't go to the center position. It stays on the 1st-2nd or 5th-6th side. I thought it was the shifter because 3 weeks ago when I bought it the shifter was cut and shortened. So I installed the P-spec shifter. Too no avail. Now I am out of ideas other than going after the shifter cables? The left one seems a little stiff. Please help guys!

 

Is the spring still installed?

the spring is good. Which bushing? The golf ball one at the bottom of the shifter is brand new. has lithium on it too. I may replace the cable assembly next. The left cable has a little friction but it may be normal. who knows! Damn the used car buying experience
