For the last month or two, there have been 5 (not 4, not 6) beeps coming from the dash just after turning off the car. There are no other beeps and everything in the car seems to be working fine.

It isn't related to seat belts or pulling the key out. Just when turning the key fully to the "off" position.

This morning the car battery was dead, (9V according to the multimeter) but it has been 7 yrs since it was replaced, so I think that is pure coincidence. After replacing the battery with a new one today, the 5 beeps still happen.

I don't remember seeing any messages/warning lights on the dash. No navigation unit. The car is running fine. All other beeps/sounds are the same as when purchased new. Nothing unusual.

Perhaps a seat motor or heater warning? I haven't tested them recently. Doubt this is it.

I didn't see anything in the manual and my google-fu is weak on this subject. It has been an excellent vehicle all these years. ZERO issues - not even the original transmission has been a problem.

Ideas for the root cause? Thanks for the help.
