Hello everyone I’m not new here I just haven’t posted in a while, I have a 03 CL type S 6pm.

I just replaced the battery and have a couple of questions.

The ground wire has a section of the wire protective cover over the cable is cut short by about 3” before it connects to the body anyone know why this is. Can I tape it over to keep the dirt out. It’s p/n is 32600-S3M-A00.

Ther Cable from the battery to the starter seems to be unavailable from any place I’ve looked at online. Any suggestions where I may get a new one please.

Both of the clamps on the cables don’t seem to clamp to tight onto the terminal post which is why I wanted to try new ones.

I bought the car in 2009 it’s now has 222,000 miles one it and still going strong, I love it still.

 

I forgot to add that the p/n for the starter cable I was looking for is 32410-S3M-A10 and does anyone know if the cable off another Acura will fit my CL.

 

Not much you can do if new OEM 32410-S3M-A10 has been discontinued.

1) If you want new you can try OEM 32410-S0K-A20 ($92.40) from an 02-03 TL-S?
Don't know what the difference (maybe length? ) is; however, it can't be much .

2) Search car-part.com for your local area and see if there are any 01-03 CL-S' available to harvest from salvage?

No I didn’t.

 

I would just like to say a big thank you to Shawn for his help in finding me a battery cable. All I have to do now is to make the time to fit it but as I have been working on my 1960 Austin-Healey 3000. Lucky for me the CL just keeps on going, I keep putting gas in and driving it.
