I have a 2001 acura cl and the pass window made a loud clunk noise and now wont roll down,it kinda sounds like the track rolls down but the window stays up. I was wondering if anyone has had this type of problem,before I tear it apart.

The most common failure is the window motor/regulator; either the cable breaks or one of the plastic linkages. You won't know until you pull off the door panel. I think you got lucky cause most of the time, the window will just fall inside the door.

I just experienced the same exact issue but on my drivers side window. I already took it apart and found that the metal cables frayed inside of the motor. Based on how the whole assembly was designed, I believe I have to replace the track and the motor.
