2001 Acura CL Type S - Transmission question

I just bought this car from a guy that parked it few years ago on his property because it had a bad fuel pump. I towed the car home, replaced the pump installed a new battery and it fired right up. But, when i put the car in drive ...... took like 30 seconds for it to shift then it drove for a minute and feels like it's in neutral again.

Check engine light came on and the code is p1768.

Did anyone have this problem?

Like i said when it shifts in the gear it's fine, no slipping or anything runs great but then it just stops....

Also the car sat for so long on the property that it was invaded by mice,rats...... if they damaged any wiring would that cause any problems??

All advice highly appreciated !

I would have to look up the code in the service manual to get a better sense of what it is.

I called Acura dealer and spoke to parts department, they looked up the part by the code and it came up as a line pressure solenoid and it is $290.00. Before i spend this money is there anyone on this forum that may know this is going to fix the problem.

have you check the tranny fluid? low or no ATF will cause low pressure. since you said the car was parked for a few years, i'd change out all the fluids before you hit the road. espcially with the new DW-1 synthetic from acura, it drives and shift much better than the Z1.
