What's up w/ Evolution-autodesign???

Hey guys it's me again. I'm sure i'm getting on somebody's nerves on here, but i gotta ask. That's the only way i'll know something.

Anyway what is the best way to speak w/ someone at evolution-autodesign? I've been trying to call in order to place my order for my Acura CL Type S and i can't get in touch with anyone. I've been trying for like the last few days to a week. If anyone knows what's up please let me know. I'm ready to go ahead and get them. Thanks. You can contact me at b3_hammondman@yahoo or just reply.

Did you try and put the order through their website?

no i haven't tried to order them. that's prolly what i'll end up doing. When i specify the quantity, do i need to say 2 for both doors (driver and passenger side) or if i order them and say 1, will they automatically assume that i need 2? Let me know.

Dont Bother...!!

Let me say that I was in your boat at one point...I tried on numerous occassions in order to contact them an place an order for the Door Sills they offer. So I went ahead and ordered them on-line.....Unfortunately, i never received any sort of confirmation after placing my order on the internet. After a few weeks of trying and getting know where i called my credit card company to stop payment...and still have yet to hear back about my order....Good Luck...and if you get through...order me some

yea i feel ya man. I've heard from people up here that it has taken up to 30 days to receive them. That's just too long. When you ordered them, how much did you put in the quantity section? i have the CL Type S (2dr.) So do i specify i need 2 for both doors or what?

If you would have ordered them when you first posted about this you would have already received them. Every post you make puts you farther from actually receiving the door sills

Correct. Just leave it as 1.

They both cost, as a pair, $85.

werd. they are NOT good in the customer service department. Its true that they dont send you a shipping confirmation email...but only an email saying that they got your order. So once you know they've taken your money....you have no clue when you're going to get what you ordered. I ordered the Type S door sills and they sent me the regular CL ones instead. It turned out alright because I liked how the normal ones looked and decided that it wasnt worth enough to me to have to ship them back and wait for them to stand around and delay another pair out to me. It was a gift too. Jeez. Oh well. I got what I wanted in the end. Kind of. good luck.

Well, I have been having issues with this 'company' ( really think its one or 2 guys that just contract out the manufacturing, of course, I could be way off)

I ordered the Red S sills on Feb. 4th online and got an immediate confirmation email.

Emailed on the 11th and was told they were shipped on the 10th.

For 1-2 weeks, nothing, so I emailed again asking for a tracking number on A friday, he promptly replies and said I would get it next week.

And I haven't heard a peep since. I sent another mail saying I am going to let AMEX handle this if I don't get an update, but I really just want the damn sills!

I just find it hard to believe that they are so uniwilling to give an UPDATE! I even said, I don't care much about delivery date, just keep me informed.

This is almost enough to make me try to produce a competing product on my own to spite them. I've got the free time, so if anyone has any suggestions, throw them out there

It is Jeff and his son that work thereand they make them thereselves. A lot of times they don't respond or are delayed because if they go to a show there is no one there to make parts or answer questions. Not taking sides here just wanted to share the info I had been given from them when I asked about there customer service. Be pateint I received mine about a month after ordering but you don't have much of a choice if you want sills.

Well, i sent my complaint a day too soon. I just got em. But I still don't like being told they shipped 3 weeks ago when its pretty obvious they were not.

I wonder how much it would cost to make these on my own, they look like they would be fun to make.

Thats stupid

You have dozens of people on this board that have dealt with them and have had positive results. Why do you need to talk to them? You know what they look like. You know you will get them even if its with some delay.

Hope they packaged your's better than mine... they came bent in 2 places (both, since they were stacked 1 on top of other), and because of their horrible customer service I didn't even want to bother sending them back... *sigh*

cause im not gonna have my money sit out there for god knows how long. i sure havent heard of many people buying from them, either cause i dont pay attention, or i just heard about this place like 2 weeks ago. im not gonna send my money to someone who isnt going to return voicemails or emails, even if they are busy, they should hire someone who stays at the shop to do customer service, cause their not getting my money from the way it is run.

Well then dude, you are uninformed. These fellas have been around for a while, but is been known that they take some time to respond. Hell, even I was getting pissed when I didn't hear from them in 2 weeks, but I knew that I was not going to lose my money. If you are concerned, pay with a credit card, and your money is protected.

And to their credit, when they had the time (they were/are moving shops right now) I got emailed responses within a day.

But, I do agree that Customer Service need to be more of a priority for any type of business. I swear, if I had any idea how to manufacture these things myself, I could build a better business model and steal some business. I may actually look into it if I can get off my lazy ass.

If you do decide to buy, I have a coupon code you can use for 30% off.....

talked to jeff, the owner, and he said the reason for the delayed response time with emails, voicemails, etc was cause they were in the process of moving into a new location for expansion.

he seems like a nice guy and i just wanted to update you all that i did actually talk to him

his new number is 770-849-9448.
