Yea.. Its the Neuspeed SS.. along with cutting down the shifter below the thread. i would say a bit over an inch..

 

I've cut my shifter down before on my old car, but the CL seemed different. Anything special needed to rethread it to get it that low?

Yes in fact you need to "hone out" your oem shift knob and "carefully" rubber malat the knob onto the shifter.. obviously put the boot on there before you attach the knob.. I used a drill bit the same size as the shifter so that it fit tightly.. Not very hard to do.. just takes a little time..

 

nice, how does it feel? Do you have to reach any further or is it a little more uncomfortable? Looks terribly nice.

 

Feels AMAZING! it really feels like a TRUE short shifter.. every shift is crisp and exact.. THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFF THE LOT...

Tell ya what Ron.. just buy the Neuspeed SS. come down the shore and Ill do it for you caus every 6 speed should be like this.. and caus you da man brotha!

sounds good, but the shore is kinda far away, this is how low I could get mine, wish it was a little lower, but yours makes mine look like a damn corn stauk, lol.

 

Nice to see someone else cut their shifter too. It really does feel like a true SS.

 

i cut my shift rod a year ago too. it really feels like true ss.

Looks good. Did you hack off the threads? Or did you cut out a piece of the shifter like HTown? I cut off some of the threads on my auto, and it makes the knob look a lot better.

nothing really creative about where you put your EDFC. you had an extra pocket there because of your metra kit... I'd prefer it tucked away like REV-01 used to have it in his "not as ashtray" holder to prevent people from peeking in and wanting to steal it.
