underst8 is finally DROPPED!

Here she is, no longer a 4x4

dirty as hell, but with salt snow and other crap all over Minnesota right now washing is more or less pointless until it clears up a bit.

My buddy Josh (asujosh1) demonstrates poor wheel gap:

And now Josh shows proper wheel gap

Camry's have huge wheels gaps, my mom has one and im parked right beside it in the garage, it feels so nice just to see how low my car is and how high her's is. I am lowere on Tein Basics.

underst8 - you are a brave soul for driving so low in the winter time, I have my car raised becuase I dont want ice scraping my lip kit and headers constantly.

haha I know I considered waiting until spring but then my better side took over

I've done some plowing of my parking lot already but it is worth it for the sexyness!

Yeah i need to pull the sticker off - and headlights eventually but my $ is going into the performance first.

turbo_911 - the ride is stiffer than stock, going over rough pavement you feel the car bounce a little more/firmer but it is not unpleasant at all i rather like it. It's a perfect compromise of looks/handling/ride comfort I think.

According to Tein, the S Techs are:
Front = down 2.1"
Rear = down 1.7"

SKA34-AUB00 99-03 ACURA TL 297/157 2.1"/1.6"
SKA34-AUB00 01-03 ACURA CL 297/157 1.8"/1.8"

Where are you getting your info?

look at this chart, towards the bottom:

http://www.tein.com/price/acura.html

-seems to be accurate as to what mine did...

Next mod is probably going to be a camber kit once I get it back from the alignment shop But then my UR pulley gets installed, then some sways or headers but probably not until the winter ends...

haha that is kind of funny. I think it has to be a mistake because I don't see why the CL and TL would be so different with the same spring family. Plus mine looks like the 2.1/1.7

Put yours on and we will have a verdict.

Looks great man. If you black out your chrome trim with Trimbrite T9005 from Amazon.com you will thank me later!

Again, looking good!

Thanks dude. I have thought about blacking out my trim, but was unsure of how it would look without 03 headlights to bring it all together. Considering the shit is only 6 bucks on Amazon I might just order it and see how it looks.

I just did mine a few days ago...might want to get 2 rolls, I needed it after I used up a bit of the 1st roll testing it out to see how it went on. I'll have pics up soon but it looks tits with my 01 headlights. Good luck!

I would have dropped it after winter. but I got the same springs.

Maybe for the difference between CL and TL is the weight.

Nice drop i like how it sits. It just snowed here in jersey too. Unfortunately, they coat the streets with salt when it snows like .039384th of an inch. I like washing it off asap tho. If the salt causes the asphalt to erode, crack, and form potholes, imagine what it does to your delicate paint!!!

eibach prokit will be a very similar drop based on numbers they provide...like 2.0/1.6 f/r for the eibachs and like 2.1/1.7 f/r for the s techs or something.

spring rates will be different - it comes to personal preference. I got my Teins cheap tho

Tires are stock CL-S size - 225/45? or whatever, got them on the car. I am putting new ones on after winter - something with a little more kick.
