slightly new face and ass on the ABP
Just a few things done at the body shop while I was getting my rear bumper fixed.
Shaved off the vertical grill supports, and painted the black parts ABP. This shot is before we took off the outer chrome ring and replaced it with an '03 color matched one. I also wanted to see how it would look if I had the shop just shoot behind the A as well...
No vertical supports visible (you can only see remnants of the cutting/sanding/bondo if you look from underneath closely).
Also, anything that was black before was painted blue.
Also, the front bumper was painted to look like the '03 (everything is painted except for the black fairings and the middle grill).
And the cute M5 lip spoiler
+ Jon, holding the blue grill surround lol.
Notes:
-I also had them paint the side mirrors blue (only a little part of it is black plastic now).
-The blue emblem is ABP exactly, but from up close and middle distance it looks lighter than the rest of the car for some reason From far away though, it looks perfectly matched. But if you look super up close, you can tell that it's ABP exactly. The paint is actually better quality than the rest of the car lol (from multiple trips to shitty shops).
-I'm not sure if I like that color-matched emblem yet, but I'm too lazy to re-paint it. Maybe later on, but it gives my car a bit of a differnet look which I don't mind.
-Everything costed $550 (m5 spoiler painted and mounted, front grill work, whole front bumper re-shot, and side mirrors painted) @ backyard creations in Temple City. GREAT shop. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. (They're the ones that molded Brian Lin's TL lip kit onto his CL).

the green is much more subtle than my blue. Try sanding down the outer chrome ring and painting it to match

Thanks for the kind words y'all.
The wheels are going back on this weekend for some REAL photos this upcoming monday; and I'm goign to see about dropping it just a little bit too
And Backyard Creations is a real shop. Their bodywork is great and most of the cars they had in their shop was M3's and other Euros.
Brianlin referred me to the shop and that's where he got his TL lip kit molded onto his white CL.
Just FYI, for anyone in the southern california area, Joe the owner of BC is going to have a grand opening party for their new shop (moving bases) in El Monte in the beginning of March... he told me to tell the Acura folks cause there's gonna be food, a DJ and he said a LOT of nice cars
