Rondog's new goodies, headlights, grille, front skirt, & more...
Well, I cleaned up the interior, just need to do the seats with new BMW Leatherette, that stuff lkooks so good and wears very little. Also going to do the woodgrain steering wheel, but with the hard part in a silver to match the blackwood strips to be painted silver, again.
As for the headlights, A former member did them for me and he did a pretty good job, just wish thry were glossy black instead of that flat black. Not too big of a deal, def an improvement, just need the proper bulbs now.
I trimmed the front skirt and added the splitters closer to the body so they don't protrude so much. I'm thinking of getting the front end molded in to unify it.
Next is 2001 red tailights that are tinted heavilly, but not completely black, slightly tinted headlights with a blue tinge to them, and all the dings and scrathces taken out along with a full detail and waxing. I was also going to go with H&R springs for a lower drop, or Tein SS coilovers, don't know yet.
Lastly, I repainted my Grille and I am also going to manufacture a limited edition RonJon Design Grille housing that will be a direct replacemnt for the grille you have now. Prepainted to your color or chrome (ala 2001-2002 outer grilles) and the mesh will come in a flat black coating or a brushed aluminum finish. I just need to stock all the materials and manufacture about 20 at a time. they will be made to order when It comes to chooseing the colors. This will be featured on Our website, ronjonwheels.com in about one month exactly like what you see in the pics, so you can keep your original grille in tact and use this one as a complete replacement. Estimated Price for the whole Grille below will be an estimated $500 each. pricing subject to change.
Enjoy

Matt, the grille is a full OEM acura housing that has been hand modifed by our experienced staff, outer grille custome painted, or chrome, the mesh in jet black, or brushed aluminum finish and all the screws and hardware need to replace what you have now. The reason i'm pricing it that way is becasue the housing of the grille has to be modified to allow the mesh to sit that way, without the "A" acura emblem seat pushing on the mesh, giving it that rigged look. If you notice, nobody has done what i have done which is to continue the crease from the hood to the bumper through the mesh, becasue an unmodified grille housing won't allow it. So now you can just replace the grille you have stock with this and revert back to stock if need be without any hassle. its a direct bolt on, and it takes minutes to do, rahter than doing the 2 or more hours of work and running into problems I have already encountered and solved. Maybe I will have a discount available for those who would ship me there grille in tact. dunno yet.

Brian, the Grille will be liek the images above show, the reason we can't do a mugen like grille is because thye hood support that runs behind the grille would have to, be cut and then that would be too much work for you or us to try and work around it. this is the perfect custom job that is a good trade off without altering the car itself.
Keep your eye out for the sale to be posted in the sponsored sales section in the black market forum. And it will also be show on our website. www.ronjonwheels.com, in about one month.

I've had this type of grille for about two years now, just decided to bring it to cl.com as a replacement instead of a DIY. Also, the Mesh ( preforated sheetmetal 3.5mm holes) I have is unique and doesn't allow visibility of behind the grille to show, which looks unatural. Also, that Acura emblem seat won't allow the mesh to sit properly, it will always push on the mesh and not allow a clean OEM looking crease. I am certain that nobody has modified the inner grille housing in combonation with Preforated sheetmetal to allow a smooth natural looking grille and not a hand done custom looking grille. I used to have one like that, but couldn't settle for it, it looked too fake. No offence to anybody who has one, but i mean, i put alot of hard work to make it look perfect with no flaws.
Edit: Titand19 with tha anthracite CL, did a real custom Mugen like grille but I think he modified the actual hood support that runs behind the grille. props, but it is still different than mine, making them both unique in their own way.
Titand19's custom grille:
Y2K3CL-S' grille which carries the option of using the A symbol, but the mesh and plastic behind the mesh that used to house the wings and emblem are still veisible and pushing on the mesh slightly.

First off, Awesome car...
I would definetly be interested in the grill..I wouldnt mind shipping the original to you.
Have you done anything to the headlights to make them brighter?...they look brighter and more blue than most

RonDog,
I noticed you still have those orange side markers...I know they need to blink orange by law, but you should change those out for some that are chrome coated....they still blink orange, but when not blinking they would look GREAT in those new improved headlight housings.....
BTW, nice car man!!

Who did the headlights for you?
Also $500, does that include a new grille painted and everything? If so, I'll hold off on painting mine.
And is it just me, or did anyone else have that song "My Goodies" pop into their hed when they saw the thread title on the main page, as it just show Rondogs Goodies.

Well, the bulbs are the same as stock only becasue I cleared them and didn't plan ahead. I can always change them out when I get the new bulbs, no biggy.
The grille is painted to match the OEm coors Acura offers, and the mesh can be jet black like mine, or a brushed aluminum color, looks great too. Its a direct bolt on and replaces the whole grile you have now without any modifications. Thats the beauty of it, that you keep everything intact in case you need to trade in or sell your car.
In less than a month, we will have all the materials neded and we will post everything on the site.

Hey Ron that grill looks awesome! However the grill is still pricey imo, but no doubt after all materials and labor after wards u gotta make a living. I will tell all the guys it is very labor intensive for this grill. I did mine about 3-4 hours of cutting my OEM grill and tried to get everything lined up. The CL is much more difficult seeing that there is a crease that need to be created and a larger surface area. Here are some pics on my TL.
Much props Ron!

No offense, I greatly appreciate your efforts, but I'll take my unprofessional looking grille that cost under $20 (including the gas it took to go to the store) than one that cost $500 because of a "crisp crease."
