Pics of my '03 CLS w/ G35

Here are some pics...wish I had some money so I can drop the car and maybe put on some new wheels and tires. In due time, I guess....

What do you guys think should be the first mods to put on? I won't be doing anything soon, but thinking about springs first, then the rubber, then the wheel. After that will be performance mods. Gotta lay low now since this economy sucks and you'll never know when layoffs will be coming.

The background is at Papago Park w/ the Papago Mountains in the background (well, if you want to call them mountains)...it's up in Scottsdale, AZ.

For now, the car will remain stock...hopefully the economy will turn and I get some kind of decent pay raise. Money is tight these days! But at least I got a fun car!

What do you guys think about the G35? It's still in break-in period, so hopefully right after, we can go for a run. Stock vs. stock...I think my 6MT CLS will beat it though...no experience launching, but I'm sure I'll manage (hopefully won't burn out the clutch). First gotta find a place where we won't get in trouble....

just rev it to about 1k if you are stock tires and then aggressively slip the clutch and push on the gas......DON"T POP, SLIP

What do you mean "aggressively slip" the clutch? Just let it out smoothly rather than just taking your foot off the clutch completely? Is that what you mean by "pop the clutch"?

Correct, do not pop/let you foot of the clutch completely. Aggressively slip......let off the clutch as you would normall but do it very quickly.......at the same time you need to push on the gas hard. It takes some practice to get the perfect launch but it just like learning stick

Firebird International Raceway. Thursday night is Import only night. It'll cost ya $10 for unlimited runs.
