Funny, everyone flamed me when I said I preferred Tein to D2/Ksport, definitely not the highest quality products, I had nothing but problems with my D2's which are the same exact thing made in the same building. Sorry to hear about your issues Morgan, what's the new suspension setup?

I called Bisi today to find and they said......they dont know.

None of the technical reps were there and I got someone in administration. I left my phone number, but I doubt they are going to call back. Ill give them a call tomorrow again.

Well played!

I [think] Ive always said the KSports were worth it compared to Tein Basics, but the SS-Ps are much better. But now, KSport/Megan/D2/Function&Form can DIAF.

Im running a Neuspeed Super Cup kit now and I absolutely love it. The dampening on them seems better calibrated for the car compared to the KSports. They are comfortable and I still feel confident in turns. I have the spring perches set to OEM height and the front has a 4 finger gap. The rear is about 2.5. Ill be dropping the front this weekend as the rear is right around where I had it with the KSports. I thought about the Tein SS-Ps, but they were twice the price with the EDFC and thats not including having them revalved and resprung, which I would have ended up doing.

There was a member interested in buying the KSports, but I wont sell them. I had to cut one of them out of the car

The Tein SS-Ps? Yea I know. When all is said and done it would have been about $2000 for them and they only have a one year warranty. The Koni struts and Nuespeed springs are lifetime. And if I really wanted to, I can get them revalved and resprung. I can even modify the mounts on the strut body. So far, for the money spent, I am incredibly pleased with them. Ill be running a Super Cup kit on my Civic, which, if I can sell the fucking turbo kit, will be getting a paint job soon.

The rad cap and IIRC oil cap are used. The t-stat and fan switch are new. The fan switch is in the same box as the t-stat.

Big thanks to BrianLin

Just called Bisi. I finally got the answer from one of the engineers. They said after the cam is ground they inspect it to see if it meets OE specs, and if it doesnt, they use iron-nitrate hardening.

Thanks to nspec and e30 for the [brand] new sunroof panel!!

The rubber seal on mine was bubbling on the front lip which A) looked horrible and B) made noise. The white specs are pieces of styrofoam.

BTW, Iron-Nitrate is NOT "Hardening", it is a coating, just like most of my mill tooling is Titainum Nitide coated to improve heat buildup so aluminum doesn't stick as much to the tool while machining parts.

According to the Bisi site, stage 1 is 10% and stage 2 is 15%.

Im not going with them though because of the coating they use.

The next retrofit has officially begun.

I had to talk myself into putting two brand new headlights into an oven. Yet they seemed to come apart incredibly easy

I wouldn't mind it, but it takes me awhile just to make my own set because of my work schedule. This is the time of year we start to get very busy too.

New rear and side mount are in. Filled with 94A poly. The vibrations arent that severe surprisingly. Im sure if I do the front mount with 94A Id feel it more, but there is only a slight vibration at idle. So far, Im loving it.

The side mount was even worse. I hope the 94A holds up.

Lol. Im actually very surprised by it. The vibrations arent any more severe then the 80A that I had in there previously. Im sure if I do the front and tranny mounts the vibes would get much worse though.

Lol

Yea I doubt Id do solid mounts on the CL. But if I go through a few more poly filled mounts I may just do it.

BTW, had an appointment at 10a to get my windshield replaced (awesome VA roads ) and my car wont turn over. Its the battery

Whats funny is last week when I was doing the suspension I looked at the battery and said to myself, I should really replace it - I dont know how old it is. I put it on the battery charger, it showed it was fully charged, cranked it (it cranked maybe once then clicked) and the charger changed back to "charging".

LMFAO, here they will come to your house/work and do it for you, cause it is so common for getting replaced here (but windy day they won't do it though, unless you are in a garage or something blocking the wind)
