finally got it!! (56k not a good idea)

I finally did it. i traded in my '00 FPR TL-p with 75k miles for the '03 CL-S SMR 6MT (with 90k, but still its sooo hot!!!) ! i wasnt gonna get it at first because it was gonna cost so much. Then i kept bargaining them to lower it, but they wouldnt budge, so i layed off. then they wouldnt stop callin me with a loew price and i wouldnt budge, till about 110 dollars less a month later (on a 56 months financing to buy) i said yes. So i went there, got the paperwork goin, till they stupid manager all of a sudden said, "hold on, is your car a 2000 or a 2002?" i said '02. he went, "oh well we cant do that, someone musta messed up the paperwork, coz we appraised your car for an '02 and for us to be able to go as low as you want, youd need at least 5k down, or else its gonna be around 700 a month. so i left, very frustrated, then later that day they called back and said they will do it anyways, since i made more of an effort to get the car, considering the dealership was about 30-45 minutes away from me and they said that it was their mistake and they will stand by it. so now i have it!! and yesterday they called me to come back saying that they refinanced me so now im getting an even better deal.

here are some pics, ill get better ones next time...it snowed...thats why...

pic from the dealership

all snowed out

my big cold ass

after a carwash...but need a day one i know...at the back is my girlfriends car..she has a Civic Si sedan...

goodbye TL....im gonna miss ya

and finally my dream car...

comments are welcome!!

p.s. anyone have a TSX or s2k shiftknob layin around..lemme know...thats a good first mod for me.. :p THANKS!!!

nice move !

at my dealership, the used car manager doesn't want to take CLs for trade-ins because he know he'll be stuck with it for very long. so used car managers will really bend to sell the CL to anyone interested.

nice car

Nice. Is this the car that you previously mentioned something about the interior? Got any pics of it?

because they are very hard to sell (narrow market), originally almost no advertising, very few sold : most people don't even know about this car, and the ones who know a little have no clue about its caracteristics.

so when a client wants to trade-in a CL to buy a new acura, the manager knows he'll be stucked with it for a long time and will have to lower the selling price to finally have a buyer. (even though, he knows it's a very nice car, which he chose over the lot for his vacations in summer)

it's kinda under-rated because most people don't know about it

Very nice... love the SMR 6-speeds. Jealous!!!

Nice deam car b/t/w. I spotted an amazing ricer the other day in the movie theater parking lot. It was a mid-90's Dodge Intrepid with more bling on it than a Bently Cont. GT. It was disgusting. Funny thing is it's still a Dodge Intrepid no matter how hard he tries to disguise it. No rocket engine though.

well at 90k miles, kbb was at 13,900, retail there was about 12.9k, but i ended up getting it for abuot 11k. i had a trade in too, which was apraised 2-3k more coz they appraised it for an 02, so it was a steal, even tho in the next 10k miles ill need to change the belt and water pump, but o well, i dont need to look for a nice car anymore, coz i already have it. no more feelin jelous everytime i drive by a TL-S...hehe

next step, nsx..(even tho honestly, aside from maybe 12bhp? and 1500lbs? difference, this can is as close to an nsx in the price range i can get..i know flame on) but still nsx is soooo hot...i would jump at it if i had the money...actually if i had the money i could get an RS4 or an M3...or..ok sorry no more dreamin
