Custom grill = done!
Well I gave myself a project these past couple of days. Jeez, people weren't kidding when they said making the grills were a pain in the ass. I ended up being ghetto and using a type of glue to stick it all together. Overall...In all honesty, I think I messed up in choosing the grill. WAYYY too much open hole diameter. The support behind the grill is pretty obvious, even when I painted it black. But, I still like it, and I think the Type-S emblem is a nice touch.
You can still see a bit of the glue up there, which I will fix soon. I hate that sticking out, I ended up rushing and just gushing all the available glue on the frame to get it done. Lesson's learned, I shouldn't ever rush things.
Hope you guys like.

I got the mesh from mcmaster.com
Part number: 9255T731
Steel perforated sheet
36x40
.156" hole diameter
63% open area
20 Ga.
Cost me $40.75
I suggest you get something with a smaller hole diameter.
And yanno, I had my camera all ready to do a DIY, but I thought, this is my first project, I'll probably screw it up...I did just a bit. Plus, my sister stole my camera yesterday anyway.

Looks good and the emblem is a nice touch. Don't worry about seeing the support behind the grill, I did the same thing to mine & its barely noticeable. Since your painting now you should think about painting the lower part of the bumper next.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I glued because I sanded ALL of the chrome part with the dremel. Includes the places where the screw threads go. I didn't want to make 435,342 little extra holes in the grill so I can fit each one through and screw it. =/ I dunno, I just wanted it done, I was already working on it for about 10 hours, lol.
Unfortunately, I ran out of PDG paint, I only ordered a small 2 ounce bottle from PaintScratch. I don't think I want to spend any more money on the car until I'm very financially stable, which will be a couple months. I wanna hear your guys' thoughts on me spray painting the headlight housings black instead? I already have the black...Or mebbe I should just wait. I'd rather do PDG.
I'm thinkin mebbe I should just buy a whole new bumper wayyy down the road. The spokes on the bottom are cracked and it's just plain scratched to hell.

Attaching it to the hood...
Lookin' good
probably a silly question. but i just went through the steps of detaching the face of the grill and seperated the acura wing and emblem from the chrome trim. i'm planning on putting that mesh on there.
i'm just wondering how you attached the final piece to the hood? the screws that help to secure it in place are no longer existent on the old grill...please help.
Thanks

Well, I actually left the top two screws on, I knew if I took all the screws off, I'd be, well, screwed.
If you really sliced all the screws out, then there's no simple way to put it back on. Then again, I haven't taken another look under the hood for other possibilities, so there's probably another way to reattach...But yeah...Sorry dude. Best thing I can suggest is buy RonJon's premade grill.
I will say though, the grill isn't perfect. It sticks out when you look from the sides, and it feels like it'll break off when you try to pry the hood open.

Thanks guys. Important thing is to not think you screwed up. There's plenty of ways you can paint, drill, whatever to your liking without royally screwing up. Only way you can really mess up is if you cut the whole damn grill in half, heh.
