i got the same car as you (3.2 CL-P)
i beat a E46 325Ci (dunno if it's auto or manual) before.... i'd think it'd be about the same as a E36 328iS.... the 328iS is probably lighter than the current generation 3-series though

It would be close but I think the BMW would win. RWD and torque advantage.
Acura
15.4 lbs per HP
15.99 lbs per ft/lb or Torque
BMW
16.4 lbs per HP
15.1 lbs per ft/lb of Torque

I would bet on the CL in that one. I raced my friend in his '03 330ci manual vs. my '03 3.2 S auto and got beat all the way till he hit his governor at 135 or so. Then, since I didn't have a governor, hehehe--- I got up to 140 something, and was paying too close attention to the road to read my speedo--

stock my 01' type s beat the balls of a 330 xi. as far as engine goes, i believe the amount of tourqe in the first 100 yards seperates the cl from the BMW.

the old 328is drags slow as shit... the E36 M3s can hang neck and neck but the 328 won't have a chance in the dark. the newer 330ci however will give any CL a run for its money.

What kind of 0-60 time will a 2001 cl-p(I assume this means that its not the type s. I'm new here if I'm asking a stupid question) do? I'd love to get the type s, but I think its a little out of my budget's range. Also, what mods would be most effective in improving the non type s's performance?
Thanx

Correct me if I am wrong anyone but I think that the CL-P runs about a 6.9-7.0. Good mods would be Headers and maybe Cold Air Intake. That would maybe put your CL-P up to about 270 hp
