'03 Grill put on!!

I got my 2003 Grill surround today. I think it looks much cleaner than the 01 chrome piece. Also painted the "A" and upper portion black.(formerly chrome as well)

Krylon Fusion. Made for spraying onto plastics. No sanding or primer needed! I did clean them thoroughly before I painted, just in case.

Then a nice coat of clear acrylic for protection.

did you paint only the chrome pieces or did you paint the entire black plastic housing too (i'm worried about the black not matching the plastic)...also...did you just use regular black or was it some special color?

thanks for the help...it looks hot- hope you don't mind me stealing your idea

No sweat man. I just painted only the chrome pieces black. I just grabbed the Krylon Fusion with the Black top (non flat).

I didnt paint anything else. The black plastic surround was kinda faded from time, had hard water stains etc, so I used Mother's "Back to Black" on it. The stuff works great to restore the "blackness" to trim.

I painted mine black like 2 months ago. Both the wing and the A. If you want it to match with the inner grille, the best would probably be flat black. I just recently painted the A on the back of mycar black also. Im not sure if ill keep it black or paint it silver to match the paint. Btw your car looks real nice. I always liked white cls. Like everyone else said the 03 headlights would set it off.

I painted mine flat black and then put clear coat over it, so it is more glossy looking. I had it flat black without clear coat at first, which matches a little better than the flat black with clear coat. I just put on the clear coat to get extra protection. I can take some pics and ill try and get them up today.
