who will win ?
ok now I see, i was looking at the last guys time? How does that work, cause I'm seeing either 7.44 vs 7.48 or is it 9.44 vs 9.48. Then it changes right be for the end of the video to what looks like 9 somthing to 10 something.
Guess I should have put my glasses on sooner!
1 for Jacob.
So can you answer post 79?
I have never ran an 1/8th mile so I would have no idea what a normal 1/8th mile time is. So thats my ignorance. I did no know that 7.4 would = somthing like a 11 something second 1/4. Just posted what I though I saw in the video. Clearly I was wrong!

SeaKnight, that was a bad example lol. Although it can be confusing due to the crappy quality. The first set of numbers is reaction time, second set of numbers is trap speed, and the third set of numbers is the 1/8th mile time.
Either way, a 2004 TL-P was neck and neck with the 2003 cls. The video I posted above is more than enough proof that a 3rd Gen TL-S can beat a CL-S 6 speed that has a hell of a lot more than just bolt ons.

Tell me about Murky! I just wrote ASS all over my forehead!
I miss that high desert/antolope valley area man! Stuck in this "dumping ground for humanity" they call Memphis for at least another 1.5 years before I can get a transfer!
You drive Cajon pass much?

I hate to rain on your parade, but the last video posted is our very own nspec. He has a 3.6l, not a 3.7l and for that race his ecu was in limp mode (cam sensors and O2 codes IIRC). If I can find another video of his I will post it.

This was after he got the engine running properly.

Civic, that was a much better pull compared to what I posted. I remember when I did my 6 speed swap on my TL I was in limp mode and raced a TL-S auto and beat him by a lot.... in limp mode lol.

Just saying what happened. Ive got a similar build (more breathing mods though) and Ive walked supercharged TLs.
Hate to toss this in there as well, but I have raced E46 M3s. And won. Ive mentioned it in the past. But Ive got more then headers and an intake.
I dont know what mods were done to it. It was on the highway as well, so its possible he could have taken me from a dig. The only car to really give me any grief was a turbo'd Civic. We were neck and neck.

LOL this thread is full of fail. In its untouched form (i.e no stroked motor, no 3.3, 3.5, 3.6 or 3.7) The TL-S will win. Hey Morgan I wana race your CL whenever you are back up this way homie.
I've beaten fully modded TL 6MT, fully modded TL-S 6MT, E46 M3, IS350, Charger srt8 and Santa with all of his reindeer. I walked Santa by like 6 Hooves LLS

work.
Sounds like he got a new login. somthing that starts with a "J" and in San Diego and changed his age from 40 somthing to 19. Something about having the lowest milage CLS in the entire world. But his reasoning skills seem to be the exact same! lol
I stopped shaking you yesterday and purposely changed the subject when I easily could have kept criticizing on you about your video. Let's just call it truce.

I ran a RX8 in my Tacoma and put about 3 cars on it from 0 to about 75. I murdered one in my Jetta, we could almost count the lead by buses not cars.
I also ran a (I think it was an 06) 255hp iirc, 330i on a 6 mile flat freshly paved road that we had access to and was closed on the weekends. This was in my CLS, we ran from a dig to top speed. My speedo showed 155. GPS said 146 (TomTom). He got the jump and by the middle of second gear I made it up, when I hit third I pulled about 5 cars. When I hit 4th he came all the back up to my back bumper, until I got to about 120 then I started pulling again. By the time I was at 145 or so i was out front by about 6 cars. I'm sure it would have been even further if I had started better.
Yes the road really was closed, it was on a restricted military base in Colorado.

I noticed that vid says its a 2008 330i, but the last year was 06. I dont know of any visual clues between the 330 and the 328 or 325 (also an 06 model). If it really is a 330, its an 06. If it really is an 08, its most likely a 328 (no dual exhaust, not a 335).
Either way, the most power its making is 255/220 but thats to the back wheels, so its putting down less then a stock CL even considering the ratings revision that took place for the 05 model year.

But we should be a good race. Those stroked J series are no joke
Im trying to talk my brother into doing some work to his Accord but he wont do it. He says he'd much rather pay it off then do work. I guess it makes sense

Hes got over 80k miles on it already though. Hes coming up on the TB service quickly.

StreeKA, even though your TQ was a disapointment to you I have to say I would never have guessed a non stroked J32A2 would have such a flat TQ curve!!! Thats awsome. If you can get it up higher and keep it that flat you should run pretty damn good! I've seen V8's that were not that flat, reguardless of how high or low the numbers were.
Blue=TQ right?

not to prove anything just for fun :P
