ok so today i poped the hood to see wath was wrong and i was low on oil !!! so added 2qts it was like day and night . got on the highway and this m3 e46 tryna go. idrop it in 3rd and before i know it am almost 2 cars infront the hole way through 150.then i put on my hazards .he gives me the thombs up so am happy. i call the 08 tl and we go @ it samething but this time he's 3 cars behind and to make it worse my clutch was sliping .so looks like i dont realy need that s/c But ill get it just for the fun of it

So you're telling me you beat a car that has almost 100 more HP than yours by 2-3 cars? The 2 qts helping for the TL run I can believe, but not beating an e46 M3. The only CL's I've seen able to do that either had heavy mods or some type of forced induction.

 

It's the e46 doesn't have 100hp more than his, it's more like 50.

 

E46= 333hp. US Models

So more like 73hp.

And I thought the CLS was limited to 145?

 

That's stock vs stock. With his CL's bolt-ons he should be dynoing around 245whp. Factor out the 15% drivetrain loss and that equates to roughly 281.75 crank hp.

So that's pretty much only a 50 hp difference. Also, the CL tops out at 150. I've done it twice.

 

If thats what the speedo shows, the vss is gear driven and the faster you go the more inaccurate it becomes. I dont trust the speedo above 120.

 

Oh yeah, well i talked to the guy in the M3 and he has all the same mods as the cls! So there!

M3's don't come modded from the factory, they come stock. So if he didn't mention it was modded, the odds are against it since there are less modded M3's in the world than stock ones.
