I suspect mostly because he doesn't have much experience with E-Manage. I went this morning to Lujanmotorsports in Miami and Pablo had great results in smoothing out the afr. I'll post up some dyno's later showing what he did. I installed the GReddy pressure sensor and he tuned it at 3 different boost levels, 4.5 , 6 , and 10 psi. My best numbers at 10 psi was 450ish whp, 370ish torque. The weather was much hotter and humid today than it was at the last dyno, about 10 warmer than before. Still happy with the outcome and especially with the flat line representing the afr, looks nothing like before.

It's pretty tricky to set up, and I spent a lot of time reading the instructions over and over and playing with the settings, and comparing the results to the instructions, as the translation is odd. Once you get it, it's quite simple acutally. That has to be the best mod I added to this setup, it gives me much greater controll of where I want to boost, when I want to boost, how much to boost and easily turn it off and cruise on the 4.6 psi spring when running cheaper gas. I don't have to mess with changing the wastegate spring everytime I want to increase or decrease boost. That is a hassle.

The way I have it set, my 1st and 2nd gear is not as bad as the supercharger was, I see well below 3psi in those gears. It's still not easy to manipulate, but not impossible, it involves part throttle going into 2rd with wot barely happening at all with my street tires in that gear. I'm sure at the track it will be a little different as the track is sticky. Third gear is not a problem either as most of the boost shows up at 4000rpm and I'm already rollin. Look at the graph, it's a very linear power curve and all the boost does not come on at 3000rpm like allmotors setup did, It's a gradual onset of boost because of the boost controller. I do want to work on 4th gear and have all the boost on by VTEC crossover.

As for drivetrain, the tranny will do fine, the axels will not. Something in the works for that now. If I mistreat it off the line with slicks , goodby axels, motor mounts, tranny mounts, and who knows what else. The clutch sucks as when your moving through the gears swiftly, and you don't let it have time to engage before load is applied, it will slip. the hotter it gets, the slip happens. It is a old pressure plate and disk, eventually, something will be in the works for that as well.

In the meantime though, it's just bad-ass. Cruising on the freeway and nail it, it's nothing but quick. The power delivery after the tune is soo much smoother than it was before. It's a great toy and if people can, worth the effort to do.

Oh, mclarenf3387 , thanks for hosting those vids, I meant to thank you sooner, but thanks!
hit me up on aim, got to ask you something questions about the apexi boost controller when you get a chance. No rush though.

This Thread sort of died around April....
ThinTim, could you video tape a 1/4 mile run? I would very much like to see how fast your vehicle would run. Or any video..

thanks

all I have at the moment, might get a chance this friday to shoot some more.

the cars running great so far, the trick is to have disipline when raising the boost, I only do that when I run high octane gas. So far no problems with the O2 sensors and have been running leaded gas through it for months now with the occasional unleaded to wash the 02 sensors. cheers.

Since your using 370s, you may need more pressure to make up the difference, and a person who knows how to set up the air flow map on the emanage to manipulate the stock ecu. You may need a 4to1 ramp rate. The bell gives 4 to 1 and works well with the aeromotive 1 to 1.
I completed the tuning with 1:1 FPR and 370cc S2K injectors with (similar to yours) 58psi FP at WOT with mid 11s AFR but I like it to be on the safe side. No airflow has been touched and remain with 0 values. Unfortunately AV6 ECU is a bottle neck to see higher gains but I'm not touching it.
