CLS'o3 - 243.01Hp/204.1Torque

CLS'o3 - 243.01Hp/204.1Torque. With mods on sig. This was a third gear pull on the third run. Numbers expected? Will try to scan dyno papers.... That was fun, Audience and all at the shop. There was a big cheer afterward.....

Hmm...I would have thought you would get a higher dyno w/ a 6sp. I think an 1Auto stock is around 200hp and w/ I/H/C would be similar to yours. I would think a stock 6sp would get the dyno you got w/o mods. Again, I could be totally wrong, but just an opinion.

Your tires could skew the results a lot....

Tire Size UTQG Rating Meas. Rim Width Appr. Rim Width Overall Width (Inches)
Overall Diameter (Inches)
Tread Width (Inches)
Tread Depth (32/in)
Static Radius (Inches)
Revs. Per Mile Max.
Load @ Cold Inflation
Pressure (lbs@psi)

225/35ZR18 83W 300/AA/A 8.0 7.5 - 9.0 8.9 24.3 7.7 10 11.4 856 1074@44

Nashua is right, that is a smaller diamter than stock. That will lower your gearing which in turn can lower the numbers.

I actually would think that with smaller tire size or overall tire diameter would increase teh torque and hp rateing.... nausha has a funny ....."225/35ZR18 83W 300/AA/A 8.0 7.5 - 9.0 8.9 24.3 7.7 10 11.4 856 1074@44" ...ahhh whats this please. Would it help if my next set of tires are of 40 series?

But guys, isn't that a low dyno for the car? Like I said, it looks like an AUTO's dyno with those mods

Why didn't you dyno in 4th? Is 3rd gear 1:1 ratio on our cars?
Also your HP seems about right but your TQ seems low?

We did a 3rd through 4th pull as well and there was more power to be had in 3rd gear than 4th.... Gonna go back to 225/40/18s and well see the difference

You may be right ... small diameter wheel means Higher Final Gear Ratio... should result in more torque to the wheels.

Your final gear ratio with 225/35/18 would be 4.66 instead of 4.428.

1. The 225/35-18 will give you better torque to the road.

2. The 83 load rating is so low, that you would be 1433 - 1073 lbs = 360lbs short per wheel on load ratings. That means the front of the car with a weight of 3600 lbs (@ 62/38 f/r) would have 1178 lbs on your tires rated for 1073 lbs. Even with NO driver you’re coming up 100 lbs short on each of the front tires.

IMO, you should try and maintain a 93 load rating (that's what the car's manual says you need). OTOH, moving down to a 91 probably isn't going to screw you up.

What you do want to WORRY about is reducing your ratings by 1400+ lbs on the whole car. I hope your are very thin, never drive too fast, stay away from hot areas, keep your inflation pressure up, never carry passengers, and increase your insurance and warn others that you are driving in the area if your driving fast! A series of religious and or “blessing” rituals might be advisable before turning the ignition key.

I haven't had to dish out one of my load-rating-safety-raps in a long time. Please consider this carefully, IMO, your driving with the angels...

Brianlin87......... A local race shop here in Bakersfield CA ... LeToy Motorsports 3 runs are about 40- 50 bucks. They like you to be a local street racer to get the cheaper price ... If you want let me know and Ill give them a call..
