HOly cow! There are a list about 20 Zaino products out there. Which ones do I really need? I just want to be able to put a nice clear wax coating over fine scratchs/bird shits that gets on my car, especially because it's black. How about a perma-plating, I believe it is called? It's supposed to be a pretty thick clear coat that goes over your car. Anybody else heard of it?

Thanks for the replies guys! But do I really need 5 or 6 products from these guys? I was thinking more like 2 or 3 because I can wash and rinse with other popular brands first right? I'm more inerested in the polish and waxing of the car so it could have that thick high gloss coating look without the scatch / swirl marks. And I don't need any tire care. Could some of you guys help again? Thanks!
if you want the looks and protection you need atleast:
Z 1 polish
Z 2 wax
Z 5 swirl
z 7 car wash use zanio not other stuff because it will contain waxes and crap
z6 is optional
it's some money upfront but it's worth while! Ask anybody on this board.....not one bad experience.

i'm sure Zaino stuff is great; but I just spent about 4 hours doing a wash, clay bar treatment followed by Meguiars carnauba wax--cant imagine that Zaino makes that much difference. Spent another couple hours cleaning and conditioning the leather with Lexol; putting on RainX; adding Meguiars Endurance to the tires and polished the wheels---she looks great, esp. sitting right next to my new Triumph Bonneville
Z1 is the polish lock, which is the base coat for te whole system. Z2 is a kickass polish (Better than anything you could by at Pep boys, Trust me!), Z5 is a polish/swirl remover. I recommend the clay bar simply because it really cleans the paint. When you do the whole system, which takes about a whole afternoon, you will be truly amazed.
Jayhawk1: The Meguir's will look great too, but will not last as long as the Zaino.
The Z6 is good between/after coats of Z2 or Z5, if for no other reason than it reduces the static cling.
Clay if you need it
wash with DAWN dishwash detergent to remove old wax
Z1
Z5 if you have swirls
wait at least 24 hours
Z2 (or Z5)
I don't use the Z7 only because I got a shitload of other car wash detergent (which - unlike DAWN - is mild enough not to remove the product.)
As a quick detailer I am using Meguir's Final Inspection (cheaper and easier to get than Z6.)
I found the Z5 made my slight swirl marks un-noticeable after two applications, but this did tend to darken the appearance of the color. I was OK with that... I liked the similar deep color given by the Meguir's #24 Yellow Carnuba.
Since I live in a snow/salt environment I like the longevity of the Zaino.
It is worth every penny to get all the Zaino products you need.

Carnuba sux man.....not even worth the time and effort. You don't need to clay more than twice a year but Zaino is the best product. All my car care products are Zaino except for the leather care(lexol). The car wash is nice and the waxes are great. I'm not a fan of using Z6 seperately. I've had to use way to much to get that shine. Best thing to do is wash, wax and Z6....OMG! does that car look good. Professional! Nobody would be able to tell the difference. I know it seems kinda dumb but I used to use Meguiers and was really disappointed in the application, removal and how long it lasted. Go with Zaino %100!
I just got my new order of Zanio yesterday via UPS. Also enclosed in the box is the ENHANCED VERSION OF ZAINO APPLICATION TIPS
The basic Zaino products they list that you will need are #Z1,#Z2,#Z5 optional but highly recommended #Z6,#Z7.I have used only the #Z6 GLOSS ENHANCER & #Z7 SHOW CAR WASH before on my car. I had the paint sealant from Zibert put on when the widows were tinted. This was well before I knew about Zaino but even with use of #Z6,#Z7 the car had a deeper wetter shine. The #Z6 has an Antistatic Formular that repels dust. This stuff does work quite well.I just can't wait to do the entire process on my NighthawkBlack TL.
