Your Top Speed

Hm...my limiter kicked in at 138...couldn't get it to go past that...
This was on the South Beltway 8 in Houston...where if you're not doing 80-90, you're getting run over.....until you meet one of Houston's finest Constables...

170 mph in 1977 trans-am with 308 rear gears, the f-n car started to hydroplane freaked the shit out of me and my passengers
could of gone faster but the car wasn't stable. ahhh how I had some drunkin fun in that beast

Well a couple of years ago on a dealer swap,I did 125 in a new Toyota MR2 with about 55 miles on the odometer. Then I slowed down because I didn't trust how it felt at that point, plus the car is extremely light. When I arrived at the dealership, my manager couldn't help but notice that the dealer plate was gone. I screwed it on half way manually, but I guess the vibration caused them to come off. Thank got I didn't get stopped by troopers or more importantly- Flip over. Just a couple of more weeks until I could put my CL-S to the test yesssss.....

165 in stock trim (except for 3" exhaust, not a CLS). Not enough safe highway to hit
cars peak, which is 180 but that takes at least 6 miles to safely go up and back down.

I hit 240km/h (~150mph) in my old 98 Camaro Z28. Was scary as fuck, car still had way more but I ran out of guts, and into common sense.
Also went 200km/h (~123mph) in my 00 Civic and my 88 CRX (both governed).
I miss being young (and stupid, for I am still young), but I'm glad I'm still alive. I don't plan on doing any more top speed runs, regardless of which car I drive. Not on public streets anyway!

i went 140 in my 00 TLp on a straight, NARROW two lane road through the woods(no intersections). the road was no more than three car widths wide.
i just stayed in right smack in the middle of both lanes.
this was when i was 17, and a ignorant driver. i would NEVER do that again

is it just me, or does the car feel like its falling apart when your WOT reaching the limiter? I tried it only once when i had the h&r springs. the car didnt feel too unstable, but the door panels started shaking and everything began to rattle slightly. funny thing is, ive only gone 135 with the blower in!
