This doesn't happen to often. Most times i get like 240 miles out of a tank. Sometimes though, it is real bad. I beat on the car a little but not to bad.

I had the light for 20 miles when I filled in today, 14 Galons ( plus 5. Galon Top-off) for 333 miles.

So, it would be 23.78 MPg a high or low 22.9 MPG.

I do average 23 MPG, winter grade gas 20 MPG

Oxygenated gas... does it equate better performance?

I say to all those getting above 300 miles per tank, "step on the damn accelerator" hee hee hee,,

Yes. I too have the lead foot syndrome, but I bought the car so I could mash on the gas...

280 miles at E (average)

With the price of the GAS is so low $1.25 for 1 Gal of 93 Oct., it is silly to worry too much about MPG.

Say you drive 1500 miles/ month.

If you do 20 MPG you would have to buy 75 Gals/ month or $94

At 24 MPG you need some 62 GALs or you would pay $78 per month for gas. A saving of $16 or 1 cent per mile!!

Are you gona brag about that.... " Hey I baybed me POWERFUL CL-S and I am saving 1 cent/mile!"

I have seen it there before actually my worst was 75miles on half a tank and 180 miles on 15 gallons. But I have been trying to drive it less aggressive lately and been getting 250 miles for 14 gallons. But still nothing, when I beat the crap out of the Jeep I'll get 5-7 mpg on avg. Normall I get about 13 in it though.

But highway and not shutting the car off and turning it on with short trips makes a big difference. Going down to Tucson I did 280 miles using 3/4 tank and I pushed it quite a bit too.

Hey I still get awesome game milage! From F to E, I get about 324 miles. Even with oxygenated gas.

No. It's a formulation for winter use. It normally gives poorer than normal fuel economy.

I always get 19. i got 25 once but on highway driving. anyone getting 23 should have bought a honda civic since you are probably getting the same acceleration.

hehe, exactly. I floor my gas every chance i get, i dont go pass 3rd gear unless i need to(when i max 3rd) If you are not going to beat the car and floor the pedal, then why not get a civic. If you keep ur rpm below like 3k, ur only getting what, 180hp? Then you are wasting the extra money u paid for ur car. Like this guy at work, he has a CLS but never goes over 3500 rpm, basically he is just driving a CLP then cause the 2nd intake thingy that type S have he never even use.
