XLR8 Stock Diameter Lightweight Aluminum Crank Pulley Preorder!!!!

We have had a number of AZ members contact us regarding the XLR8 Stock Diameter Lightweight Aluminum Crank Pulley by UR. We are in the process of submitting another production run of lightweight stock diameter crank pulleys for the 2G CL/TL and 6G Accord V6. UR discontinued their stock diameter pulley a couple years ago. We did a production run about 2 years ago to keep them available for the Acurazine community, but we have run out. We want to keep this part available to the members but it requires a large order. So we want to do a sale to give the members a low price and offset some of the inventory we will have to keep. The new design will have a thinner profile and will have extra holes to make the pulley even lighter than the previous design. The previous design is shown below:

We are not looking for a set amount of orders. Basically what we're offering is a discounted price for all pre-orders. The cost of aluminum has gone up significantly so after this sale the pulleys will be selling for $230 plus shipping. All preorders will get the pulley for $180 plus shipping.

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-291888.aspx

Use promo code AZPULLEY to get the discounted price!!!

Why choose XLR8 and UR? Unorthodox Racing Lightweight Aluminum Pulleys are:

- Lightweight 6061-T6 billet aluminum
- CNC machined to .001" and 0 gram balanced
- Real HP & torque gains across entire RPM range
- Over 10 years of use in "real world" applications from street to road course to rally to dragstrip...
- Better than OEM belt fitment & alignment
- High quality polished finish

What does this one offer that the cheap $30 one on eBay doesn't? Don't give us that "it's milled to finer specs" BS. Many members here are running the eBay version and we have yet to see a single person have any issues with vibrations, etc from them.

I see that these are lighter, but is there really much difference in performance between the original lightweight crank pulley and these?

I wouldnt call it BS, Im sure its made from better aluminum and machined better than the cheap Chinese made units

Still, that doesn't provide any benefits. It's not as if you're talking parts that need to exceed 50k RPMs and the quality of aluminum really matters. The machining quality of the cheap units has been perfectly fine for everyone that's run them here.

It also doesnt mean that his isnt any better, but his is made better.

I could make arguments like this over cheap headers vs comptech, i have the ss headers, never had an issue with them, have had them on for over 200k now BUT Comptech headers are built better. Or i could debate AEM cai vs Injen or cheap ebay brand. Sure it may work just fine but it doesnt mean that its made with the same quality as the more expensive brands

Also having the cheaper crank pulley on mine now i can tell you when the new motor goes in i will run one of Josh's pulleys (if he has any left) I can see on mine that when its spinning it has a slight wobble, i dont want to take any chances on my motor that ive taken balancing very seriously (rebalanced the crank with lightened and shot peened 0 gram balanced pistons and rods)

Please keep in mind that this is our sales thread, not a pulley debate. That being said, there is a difference in quality. The cheap overseas pulleys are not machined or balanced the same way. The UR pulleys are 0 gram balanced and CNC machined. I know you think that is BS but UR will literally dispose of pulleys that don't meet QC standards. Your rotating assembly is something that should be paid very close attention to. It's extremely important that the crank pulley be balanced properly. An improperly balanced/machined pulley may not cause an issue immediately but over time it will cause issues.

Again, I have always believed, you get what you pay for. And this is definitely a part that shouldn't be cheaped out on.

It's going to be a few oz lighter than previously. Will you notice a difference in the seat of your pants? No. But there is no added cost to the end consumer anyways. The original design was just improved and lightened.
