wtf..factory painted 2001 Aegean blue CL-S????

Agreed. ABP was only available on the Type-S, which started with the 2001 model year for CLs and 2002 for TLs. Now if he had a 2001 TL that was ABP, maybe that would be worth something.

I don't see any value to a Blue CL '01 Type-S, even though it was not available in the US. I think it was available in Canada.

Chod's ABP CLS was '01

they didn't offer the color til roughly New Year's 2001

Scoot is right. They didn't start the 01 run with the ABP but they did offer half way through the run.

I got my CLS in March of 01, and the dealer told me that ABP was not yet available. He mentioned they were getting one about 3 weeks later, but it may have been available at other dealers

Haha... SURE the factory decided to change the paint in the chassis bath ('dip' technique) for this one car! AND since they f***ed up on the chassis dip... they decided to change the paint in the spray booths as well!

Hi All.

I believe I was the first person on this forum to own an ABP CL.
I ordered it end of April '01. According to my dealer there were only 4 of them being made that month for an 8 state area. So I had to wait a nice month to get my ride.
